If the cloud is displaying, that means that you have a data or wireless signal going to the device.

If a white X is displaying, there is no connectivity on the device.

We have come across a few instances where the cloud was displaying, but the device had no connectivity.  We confirmed this by launching a web browser on the device an attempting to go to a web page and an error was received stating that the device had no connectivity.
